The first NTA National Team Taekwondo Championship (Gyogi) has started from Sunday at the Taekwondo Hall in Satdobato.

Cadet girls and boys (12-14 years) and junior girls and boys (15-17 years) have participated in the competition in four categories. It will be a competition of players as a group and not as an individual. Organizer Nepal Taekwondo Association said that 67 teams are participating in the competition. 

On the first day, the team of Kritika Deula, Jenny Joshi and Amrita Lama of Rising Fighter won the cadet girls. Sujita Tamang, Sandhya Pradhan and Samita Tamang of Balaju Taekwondo Dojang were in second place. 

Joint third were Alina Khatun, Asmi Dhimal and Carlin Ranjitkar of Om Dojang and Rosina Tamang, Ayusha Suyal and Chandni Khatun of Sitapaila Dojang. The winner will get a prize of Rs 50,000 and the second will get a prize of Rs 25,000.
