Suvin Shrestha and Rihana Sherchan have won gold in the U-19 category of the first national level badminton tournament.

Suvin of Tribhunan Army Club won the gold by defeating Andreas Limbu of Sunsari Badminton Academy in straight sets 21-19, 21-17 in the boys category of the tournament jointly organized by Tokha Municipality and DBA Academy. Im Tamang and Sudesh Rajkoti came third.

In the girls' final, Army's Rihanna defeated Laliguras Academy's Asmita Khatri 21-13, 21-13. Niva Rai and Prensa Shrestha came third. The U-19 winner received 20,000, the runner-up received 10,000 and the third runner-up received 5,000.

Army's Sudesh Rajkoti became the winner for U-15 boys. He beat Im Tamang 16-21, 21-14, 21-18. Aditya Chaudhary of Kailali and Deep Thing of Army came third. Nibha Rai won the gold by defeating Samriddhi Shrestha 21-16, 21-16 for the girls of the same age group. Asmita Khatri and Savijna Dahal came third.

In the U-13 category, Army's Deep Thing defeated his own club's Region Magar in straight sets 21-10, 21-10. Dion Bhandari of Rosemary and Saksham Gurung of MBBF came third. On the girls' side, Sunsari's Savijna Dahal defeated Army's Azarenka Sherchan 21-18, 21-11.  Galaxy Public's Archana Magar and APF's Akriti Karki came third.
