Rishon Thapa of Jhapa won the first Junior National Chess Championship with 100 percent victory. Risone won a prize of 40 thousand rupees by scoring 9 points in 9 stages. CM Purushottam Silwal, who was second in the Junior Asian Blitz Chess held in Sri Lanka, was second by scoring 8 points. He got 25 thousand.
Despite having equal 7 points in the competition, Prateek Subedi was third on the basis of progressive points. He got 10 thousand . Despite having the same 7 points, Avik Shah of Lalitpur became fourth and won 7,500 prizes on the basis of progressive points. Advance Sainju of Kathmandu finished fifth. He won 5,000 prizes.
Riya Shrestha from Kathmandu has won the title with 5 wins and 2 draws in 7 rounds of matches for junior girls. While winning the title while remaining undefeated, Riya has won 40,000 prizes . Banke's Isha Giri finished second with 5.5 points and a tiebreak of 33 points. She received 25 thousand . Angel Maharjan of Dakshinkali municipality came third. She has received 10,000. Danisa Puri from Kathmandu secured the fourth position. She won 7 thousand 500 . Kathmandu's Precious Adhikari won 5,000 by finishing fifth.
The best students in the category were U-8 Shubhang Pradhan from Kathmandu, U-10 Ashwik Pokharel, U-12 Samridd Shrestha, U-14 Oscar Panthi and U-16 Adyant Kafle and U-18 Unique Gautam were the winners. On the female side, U-10 Agrata Acharya, U-12 Nihana Shrestha, U-14 Nelisa Ojha, U-16 Ojashwi Shrestha and U-18 Glossy Shrestha were the winners.
