HHCA and Valley Public 'A' won the second Nibs SEE Cup three-by-three basketball tournament on Saturday. HHCA boys and Valley Public 'A' became champions in girls.
HHCA defeated Laliguras National Academy by a score of 21-14 in the boys final at the host National Ideal Boarding School (NIBS) court. Sushant Bamjan of HHCA scored 10, David Rai scored 6 and Dishant Rai scored 5. Sagar Shrestha was the coach of the winning team. In the
girls' final, Valley Public defeated its own 'B' team with a score of 18-15. Elina Gauchan scored 7, Lorisha Gauchan scored 5, Anita Gurung scored 4 and Drishna Nepal scored 2. Purna Neupane took charge of training for Valley Public 'A'.
Both group winners will get 10,000 and runners-up will get 7,000. In Boys, Sushant Bamjan of HHCA and Elina Gauchan of Valley Public in Girls were declared Most Valuable Player .
The winner was awarded by Suman Tamang, Sports Coordinator of Budhanikalantha Municipality and Chairman of Ward 8, Sumitra Tripathi, Chairman of Ward 9, Shambhu Adhikari, Vice President of National Pabson, Devnarayan Mahato, Founder Principal of Nibs, Renu Mahato, Chairman of Nibs School Management Committee and others.
