The host National Ideal School (NIBS) has reached the quarterfinals of the 2nd NIBS SEE Cup three by three basketball tournament for girls on Friday.
Along with Nibs, Valley Public 'A' and 'B', Laligurans National Academy, Newton, Ferryland, Himshila and Greenland also secured a place in the quarterfinals.
In boys, Valley Public, Canvas Basant Ritu, Skibs 'A', Team Hustle, Laligurans 'A' and 'B', Feriland, Himshila, BMCA, Greenland, Paramount Academy, National United, JB School, Sports Zone, Newton and Manjari made their way to the pre-quarterfinals.
Principal Devnarayan Mahato, the founder of Nibs and Renu Mahato, the president of the school management committee, inaugurated the competition by handing over the ball to the judges.
There are 24 teams competing in boys and 12 in girls. The competition will end on Saturday.
