Agricultural Development Bank 'A' has won the double title on Wednesday in futsal under the 14th staff sports competition. Both men and women's teams of agriculture became team champions. Both were decided by penalty shootout.
In the men's final at the Grandi Sports Center in Tokha, Krishi defeated Nepal Civil Aviation Authority 'A' 4-3 in a tiebreaker. It ended in a 1-1 draw after the scheduled time.
Nepal Airlines Corporation defeated Kathmandu Water Supply Limited by 2-0 goals and became the third. The top three winners won cash prizes of 55,000, 33,000 and 22,000 respectively.
Krishi defeated Nepal Bank Limited 5-4 in the penalty shootout in the women's final of the tournament organized by Employees' Sports Foundation Nepal (ISAN). The set time was 1-1. The winner got Rs 30,000 and the runner-up got Rs 20,000.
The 14th staff sport was over with Futsal. Along with futsal, badminton and table tennis were played in 3 games. There were 6 competitions in badminton. Nepal Electricity Authority did a 'clean sweep' of gold. Table tennis was played in 4 events. National Commercial Bank won 3 and Nepal Civil Aviation Authority won 1 gold. The
winner was awarded by Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary and others. At the end, senior photojournalist Shyam Chitrakar was honored.
