The fifth edition of Veer Ganeshman Singh 10K Road Race is going to be held on June 14. The 10 km race will start from in front of Sherpa Mall in Kathmandu Darbarmarg and pass through Bhadrakali, Ratnapark, Jamal, Darbarmarg, Kesharmahal, Lainchour, Lajimpat, Maharajganj, Baluwatar, Naxal, Jai Nepal Hall and will end at Sherpa Mall.

The organizer Veer Ganeshman Singh Sports Committee said that the race includes women's and men's categories. Sanjiv Tuladhar, coordinator of the

committee, said that the winner of both sides will win a prize of Rs 60,000, the second runner-up Rs 30,000, and the third runner-up Rs 15,000. The fourth will get 10,000 and the fifth will get 5,000.

An additional 10,000 will be given to the first player to set a course record in the race with the technical support of Nepal Athletics Association.  On the women's side, Rajpura Pachai has a course record of 36 minutes 43.2 seconds and on the men's side, Gopichandar Parki has a course record of 31 minutes 11.4 seconds. According to the organizers, more than 450 players will participate in the

competition. Prabhasman Singh, board member of Veer Ganeshman Singh Foundation, coordinator of the competition, said that about 15 lakhs will be spent on the competition. Rajan Khatri, President of Manager Athletics Family Nepal, gave more information about the competition.
