The 13th NSRA National Squash Championship organized by Nepal Squash Rackets Association has started.

On the first day on Tuesday at the Academy Hall of the Nepal Squash Association at Satdobato, Bagmati Province got a double win in the men's TV event. Bagmati defeated Karnali and Koshi region. Arhant Keshar Singh and Pasang Blon of Bagmati near Karnali easily won. Nepal's number one Arahant defeated Jalan Ji 11-2, 11-7, 11-7 and Pasang defeated Himal Ji 11-0, 11-3, 11-0.

Even against Koshi, three players from Bagmati won in straight sets. Rakesh Pariyar beat Khemraj Rai 11-2, 11-9, 11-4, Arahant beat Nayan Bahadur Magar 11-6, 11-3, 11-3  And Pasang defeated Suryakumar Rai by 11-6, 11-5, 11-4.

Lumbini beat Gandaki Pradesh 3-2. In the first match, Sudip Bahadur Singh defeated Avan Shrestha of Gandaki 11-8, 7-11, 14-12, 11-9 to give Lumbini the lead. Gaurav Katwal defeated Raju Shrestha of Gandaki by 11-9, 13-11, 11-3, Navraj Shrestha of Gandaki defeated Gyanu Chaudhary of Lumbini by 11-6, 11-3, 4-11, 5-11, 11-5.

Member Secretary of National Sports Council (Rakhep) Tanklal Ghising inaugurated the competition. 6 provinces are participating in the men's competition. The competition will be based on the Leaguecom knockout. Four provinces participated in

women namely Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Koshi. The top team in the round robin league will be the champion.
