Nepal Taekwondo Association is going to organize the first NTA National Team Taekwondo Championship in the first week of June. The organizing association said in a press conference on Thursday that the World Taekwondo team will be playing according to the rules of the Gyorgi category (fight) in the capital on June 1 and 2.
Cadet girls/boys team in 12-14 years age group and junior girls/boys team in 15-17 years age group are included in the competition. The team champion will win a trophy with Rs 50,000 and the second runner-up with Rs 25,000. The total prize money is 3 lakh rupees. 700 players are expected to participate in the
competition. It is said that it will cost about 12 lakh 55 thousand and the entire amount will be managed by the Taekwondo Association.
