Manaslu World School has won the title of the 3rd Ward President's Cup Inter-School Football Tournament. Manaslu beat the defending champions NIC Academy by 3-0 in the final at Chabhil on Wednesday.
Manaslu's Devin Karki scored 2 goals and Abhishek Majhi scored 1 goal. NIC's Assef Subedi and Samir Lama scored 1-1 goals. Winner Manaslu received Rs 30,000 and runner-up NIC received Rs 15,000.
NIC's Assef Subedi was the best player, while NIC's Aryab Shrestha was selected as the emerging player. Yason Thapa Magar of NIC was the best goalkeeper and Devin Karki of Manaslu was the best player.
They each won 2,500 prizes. The winner was awarded by Bimal Kumar Hoda, chairman of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 7 and others.
