Goldengate Basketball Club reached the finals of the Himalayan Java Basketball League (HJBL) after defeating Hounds Academy.

In the clash between the top two teams on Wednesday, Goldengate defeated the Hounds by a score of 81-70 to secure the finals spot with one game to spare. Goldengate is at the top with 17 points from 9 games.

Despite losing to Times in the first game, Goldengate has won 8 games in a row since then. In the league, Goldenegt managed to win both matches against Hounds. Earlier, the Golden Nets beat the Hounds 80-75.

The Hounds, who suffered their second loss, are in second place with 16 points from 9 games. The Hounds will play third place Times Basketball Club in the final match. The Hounds came back into the game in the third quarter and won 18-14. But before the fourth quarter, Goldengate maintained a lead of 58-51. In the fourth and final quarter, Goldengate won the game after leading 23-19.

Goldengate's Abhishek Singh scored 22. Saurabh Shrestha of Hounds added 18 scores. Goldengate's Sudeep Paudel was selected as the Most Valuable Player.
