Tansen first with 28 golds in district level president running shield

Tansen municipality has won the title of the 16th district level inter-municipal President Running Shield competition held at Tansen Tundikhel in Palpa on Tuesday.

Raju Maharjan, a member of the Lumbini Province Sports Development Committee informed that Tansen Municipality was the first with 58 medals including 28 gold, 13 silver and 17 bronze under the running shield of two municipalities and eight rural municipalities. 

In the competition organized by District Sports Development Committee, Palpa, Rampur municipality has won 36 medals including 9 gold, 14 silver and 13 bronze. 

Tinau rural municipality came third with 25 medals including 5 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze. Bagnaskali rural municipality has become fourth with 24 medals including 4 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze. Under the competition, Mathagadhi Rural Municipality won 15 medals including 4 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze. Rambha rural municipality has won 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals. 

Ribdikot rural municipality won 2 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze medals while Nisdi rural municipality won 2 silver and one bronze medal. Similarly, Rainadebi Chhahara Rural Municipality won 3 silver and 5 bronze medals while Nisdi Rural Municipality got 2 silver and 1 bronze. Purvkhola Rural Municipality has satisfied itself with one bronze medal.  In the

competition, the head of District Coordination Committee Palpa Tankanath Khanal, Chairman of Rambha Rural Municipality Bishnu Prasad Bhandari, Chairman of Mathagadhi Rural Municipality Yam Bahadur Chidi, Spokesperson of Tansen Municipality Yadavsingh Karki, Member of Lumbini Province Sports Development Committee Raju Maharjan, former Chairman of District Sports Development Committee Deepak Ghimire and others distributed shields, medals, medals and certificates to the winning players. 360 students participated in the

competition. For 54 gold medals  District Sports Development Committee office chief Raju Bayambu informed that competitions were held in volleyball, kavadi, running, relay, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, javelin throw, karate, taekwondo and other sports. Players from 13 to 18 years of age participated in the competition.
