Nepal Heritage Run is going to be held on this 24th of June. Organizer Race Nepal has informed that the run will be held to connect the heritage of Lalitpur and Kathmandu.
The race route will be 25 km long. Rajan Khatri, the co-organizer of the Nepal Athletics family, informed that the race, which will start from Dasharath Stadium, will cover heritage sites like Patan Durbar Square, Pashupati Kshetra Gaushala, Vasantpur Durbar Square, Swayambhu. Along with 25 km, there will also be a 5 km race for school level and veterans. The winners of all three categories will get cash prizes.
The female and male winners of 25 km will get one lakh, the second will get 50,000 and the third will get 25,000. Race Nepal's TS Thakuri said that the winners up to tenth place will get cash prizes. The winner of both the 5 km events will get 10, the second will get 6, the third will get 3,000 and the fourth to tenth will get 1,000 each. Before the
heritage run, it has been informed that there will be a board meeting and a running conference of the Association of International Marathon and Distance Race (AIIMS), the common body of world running. Representatives of more than two dozen countries will attend the meeting.
