Goldengate Basketball Club won the Himalayan Java Basketball League (HJBL) with a score of 71-64 over Samakhusi Youth Club on Sunday.
This is Goldengate's seventh straight win. With this success, Goldengate has reached the finals. The team is at the top with 15 points from 8 games. The Hounds are second despite having the same number of points. Times Basketball Club is in third place with 13 points from 8 matches.
Now there are two rounds of matches left in the league. Then the top two teams will play the final. The Hounds still have games against Times and Goldengate. Both Times and Goldengate have their remaining games against Samakhushi Youth Club. That match will determine the two teams that will reach the finals.
