Journalist Himesh's 'Golden Story: Nepali Football' released

Journalist Himesh's 'Golden Story: Nepali Football' has been published. The book was launched in a special ceremony in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Raju Kazi Shakya, the former captain of the national football team, launched the book. ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai, spokesperson Suresh Shah, senior journalist Yuvraj Ghimire, player Santoshi Shrestha and others were present at the inauguration ceremony. The book is published by Bookhill Publications .  The

book covers the events of the 100-year history of Nepali football since its inception. The book also includes the moments when Nepal won gold in the South Asian Games (SAG) in 1984 and 1993. 

This is the first Nepali book written covering Nepali football history. Kiran Rai, General Secretary of All Nepal Football Association, said that the author has presented the football developments in an excellent way and said that this book is the first document in Nepali football.  

Runner Santoshi Shrestha said that literature is important in every field and pointed out the need to write sports literature in Nepali sports as well. She commented that there is a gem in the name of writer Bajracharya and the golden story written by Ratna is as good as Ratna.

author Bajracharya thanked all those who supported him in writing the book and said that since he was a supporter of football since childhood and later wrote about football, his dream of publishing a book has been fulfilled. 

Bhupendra Khadka of Bookhill said that the book will be useful for every reader who is interested in football as well as school level students.
