Due to Laxman Kumal's excellent bowling, Rupandehi defeated Dang by 62 runs in the Leela Century Memorial U-16 Lumbini State Cricket Tournament.

Chasing the target of 132 runs given by the home team Rupandehi in the final of the qualifying tournament held on Friday at Siddharth Cricket Ground in Zhairawa, Dang managed to score only 69 runs after losing all wickets in 22.1 overs. Dang's Abhijit Bhandari scored 18 runs and Shubham Khanal scored 14 runs. The performance of other players was not good.  Laxman Kumal of Rupandehi took the most 5 wickets in

bowling. He spent 14 runs keeping a maiden in 7 overs. Similarly, Prince Pal took 4 wickets. 

Before that, Rupandehi, who won the toss and batted first, lost all wickets in 24.5 overs and made a total of 131 runs. 

Rupandehi's Siddharth Dhakal scored a half-century of 54 runs. He hit four fours and four sixes in 45 balls. Opener Rojan Kumal contributed 26 runs, Sameer Ali Muslim 22 and Tusar Chauhan contributed 10 runs.  In

bowling, Dang's Shubham Khanal took the most 5 wickets and Daksh Thakur took 3 wickets. Chandra Bahadur Thapa and Karan GM got one wicket each. Rupandehi's Laxman Kumal was declared Man of the Match in the tournament. Dang defeated Banke by 6 wickets and reached the final as the winner of Group B. Rupandehi became the winner of Group 'A' and reached the final.
