Nepal Police Club has become the women's champion in the 9th PM Cup NVA Volleyball League held in Pokhara. Police won the title for the second time in a row by defeating Tip Top New Diamond in the final 3-1 at the Pokhara Rangshala Covered Hall on Thursday.

While Police ended the first set 25-20, New Diamond tied the second set 25-22 in their favor. Police defeated New Diamond in a competitive third set 28-26. In the fourth set, Police easily defeated New Diamond 25-14 to defend their title. New Diamond had to settle for runners-up as Police remained undefeated throughout the league. Both these teams will participate in the Kava Women's Club Championship to be held in Nepal.

Earlier on Thursday, Everest Volleyball Club won the third place match. Everest won the third place in the tournament after defeating Nepal APF Club in a set of 3-1. Everest, which includes players from Thailand, won 25-18, 10-25, 25-13 and 29-27.

6 women's teams participated in the tournament organized by Nepal Volleyball Association. The winner of the competition will get Rs 8 lakh, the second runner-up will get Rs 4 lakh and the third place team will get Rs 2 lakh.

Men's Police beat the men's army in the third

competition and the police reached the third place. Police defeated Army in 3-1 sets. Police managed to win the first set 27-25 and the second set ended 25-20. The third set was lost 23-25. In the fourth set, the Police got an opportunity to finish third when they easily defeated the Army's challenge and closed at 25-14. Currently, the men's final match between Gandaki and Help Nepal is going on.
