A friendly football match was held in honor of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China and International Everest Day.

On the occasion of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, a friendly football match was played between Everest climbers of Nepal and China.

Alpine Sports Federation Nepal organized the match at ANFA complex on Wednesday with the technical support of ANFA. A friendly match was played between Everest Friendship Team (Nepal) and Mount Chomolongma Football Team (China). Everest Friendship won 4-1.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song, Member Secretary of National Sports Council (Rakhep) Tanklal Ghising, President of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Pankajvikram Nemwang, Vice President of Alpine Sports Federation Romanath Gyawali and others were present. Ambassador Chen Song opened the game by handing over the ball to the referee.

This symbolic program aims to promote friendship, mutual respect and cultural exchange through the universal language of sports. It is believed to help mountaineers connect with each other beyond the journey to the summit.
