Nepali judo players have won 10 medals including 5 gold in the Bangladesh Krira Sikha Pratishthan (BKSP) Cup Invitational International Judo Championship.
The Nepalese team won 1 silver and 4 bronze and became the overall runner-up. In that, the players of the Prisoners' Aid Mission (PAM) Judo Dojo won 4 gold and 1 bronze. 5 athletes from Pam participated and all of them won medals.
Men's under 60 kg Savin Kumar Diyali, under 66 kg Special Bik, women's under 48 kg Nisha Shrestha, under 52 kg Vinita Nepali and under 57 kg Pema Yangji Sherpa won gold.
Riwaz Lama Tamang won the silver under men's 45 kg. Men's under 55 kg Buddha Gurung and 73 kg Vigyan Khatri and women's under 44 kg Samita Nepali and under 63 kg Rekha Shrestha won bronze. 12 players from Nepal competed in the
competition.
coaches were Radhadevi Rai and Lakshmi Tamang. Deepakharsh Vajracharya, president of Nepal Judo Association, said that Radha played the role of judge in the competition. BKSP team of Bangladesh became the team champion with 6 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze.
