East Nawalparasi became the winner in Gandaki state level U-16 men's cricket tournament. Nawalpur won the title by defeating Kaski by 6 wickets in the final match held in Pokhara on Monday.

In the final match, Nawalpur won the toss and invited Kaski to bat first. Kaski U-16 team could score only 150 runs in 28 overs in the scheduled 35 overs match.

On behalf of Kaski, opener Aniket Gajurel scored 49 runs off 72 balls with 5 boundaries. Mohammad Siddiqui added 19 runs and Anish Rawat added 14 runs. No other batsman could touch double figures.

Nawalpur's bowler Sushil Bhusal performed brilliantly and took 5 wickets with 25 runs in 7 overs. Apart from this, Samir Roka and Sujan Aryal played an important role in ending Kaski's innings with 2 wickets each.

While chasing the usual target of 106 runs, Nawalpur completed the target by losing 4 wickets in 26 overs. Samir Neupane contributed 28 runs and Anish Bhattarai contributed 20 runs for Navalpur. Kaski's bowlers Satkar Chalise, Rhythm Pandey, Sonu Yadav and Saurabh Siddiqui took 1 wicket each. The supreme goldsmith from Tanahun, who performed individually in the

competition, was declared 'Player of the Series'. Samir Neupane of Nawalpur became the 'Best Batsman' while Shailesh Kafle was declared the 'Best Bowler'.
