Tribhuvan Army Club has won the first Shaheed Smriti Women's National Rugby Sevens title. Army defeated departmental rival APF Club by 20-5 in the final at Dasharath Stadium on Monday.

Army got Rs 1 lakh and APF got Rs 50,000. Army's Muna Soren was selected as the best player in the competition. She received a cash prize of 7,000.

Shahid Smriti Sports Academy organized and under the technical support and management of the Nepal Rugby Association, the winner of the competition was awarded by former finance minister Varshaman Pun, National Sports Council member-secretary Tanklal Ghising and others.

academy has said that after rugby, badminton, futsal and taekwondo national competitions will be held as part of the first Martyr's Memorial National Games.
