The ninth Schibbs Cup inter-school three-by-three basketball tournament will be held from Saturday under the organization of Sri Chandravindu Boarding School (Skibs).
75 teams from 44 schools will participate in the competition in 4 different categories, Arun KC, Principal of Skibbs, informed in a press conference on Friday. 32 senior boys, 16 senior girls, 23 junior boys and 4 staff teams will participate.
The games of Senior Boys, Senior Girls and Junior Boys will be contested on a Leaguecom Knockout basis. Staff games will be in round robin league. The winner will be selected based on the points obtained in the league. The winner will receive a prize of Rs 10,000 and the runner-up will receive a prize of Rs 5,000. There are no cash prizes in three categories. Sagar Sharma, coordinator and ECA in charge of SKIBS, said that about 150,000 rupees will be spent to run the
competition. The match of the two-day tournament was held at the organizer's court in Bashundhara. will be played.
