Former number one golfer Shukra Bahadur Rai has won the Surya Nepal Challenge title with a course record.
Shukra beat Neeraj Tamang by 4 strokes with an impressive overall score of 17 under 255 to clinch the title. He broke the record of 15 under 57 held by amateur player Sadbhav Acharya. Sadbhav set the course record at the Surya Nepal Kathmandu Open this season.
On the last day of this seventh tournament under Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2024/25, Shukra scored 6 under 62 on Friday and won the prize of 1 lakh 10 thousand rupees. This is the eleventh title of his career . Neeraj, who has won three titles this season, scored a 6-under 62. Overall, with a score of 13 under 259, he was second and managed to win 70,000 .
Dinesh Prajapati finished third with an overall score of 8 under 264. He shot a 3-under 65. He got 50 thousand prize . With a score of 1 over 69 and an overall score of 7 under 265, Bhuvan Kumar finished fourth. He got 42 thousand . Sanjay Lama finished fifth overall with a 5-under 267. He shot a 3-under 65. He managed to write in the name of 37 thousand awards .
Toranvikram Shahi, former champion Ravi Khadka and Vasantraj Gurung finished joint sixth with an overall score of 4-under 268. They were given 30,000 people.

The last day will be the Pro Am competition on Saturday. Where amateur players and professional golfers will compete.
