The ninth Prime Minister's Cup (PM Cup) Volleyball League's men's side, Gandaki province has started with victory. Gandaki, which includes Pakistani players, won the first victory by defeating Koshi Pradesh in 3-1 sets in the league that started on Thursday at the Pokhara stadium.
In the match, Gandaki dominated Koshi by winning 25-15, 25-21, 22-25 and 25-20 sets. The performance of Pakistani players participating in the tournament was remarkable. Before that, APF club defeated Sudurpaschim Pradesh in straight sets 3-0 in the men's first match on Thursday. APF had a successful start to the league with easy wins in sets of 25-19, 25-16 and 25-16.

For women, Everest Volleyball Club and APF Club have started victoriously. Everest under the leadership of national team captain Aruna Shahi scored a comeback victory over Tribhuvan Army Club. After losing the first set 22-25, Everest then won the set 25-19, 25-17 and 25-13. There are three Thai players in Everest.
Before that, in the first women's match, APF defeated Karnali Pradesh in straight sets by 25-10, 25-10 and 25-15 to start the tournament with victory. Currently, on the men's side, a match is being played between Nepal Police Club and Manimukund Volleyball Club. 6 teams for women and 8 teams for men are participating in the
competition. Based on the league, the top four teams will enter the semi-finals. The tournament started under the organization of Nepal Volleyball Association will be conducted for one week. Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary inaugurated the competition.
Women's and men's winning teams will receive Rs 8 lakh, second place Rs 4 lakh and third place Rs 2 lakh. The best player will get Rs 50,000 and the best player will get Rs 25,000-25,000. The two winning teams of the league will represent Nepal and participate in the Kava Club Champions League.
