A 14-member team including 12 players from Nepal went to Dhaka, Bangladesh on Thursday to participate in the Bangladesh Krira Sikra Protisthan (BKSP) Judo Championship.

7 male and 5 female players will compete in this tournament from May 25 to 26. Men are Riwaj Lama Tamang under 45kg, Savar Paudel under 55kg, Buddha Gurung under 55kg, Savinkumar Diyali under 60kg, Special Vick under 66kg, Prayas Tamang under 73kg and Vigyan Tikhtri under 73kg. On the women's side, Samita Nepali under 44 kg, Nisha Shrestha under 48 kg, Vinita Nepali under 52 kg, Pema Yangji Sherpa under 57 kg and Rekha Shrestha under 63 kg will participate. , 5 players are from the Prisoners' Assistance Mission (PAM), including Samita, Nisha, Vinita, Pema and Savin. The coaches are Radhadevi Rai and Lakshmi Tamang. Deepakharsh Vajracharya, President of Nepal Judo Association, said that Radha will also play the role of judge in the competition. National Sports Council Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising bid farewell to the team on Thursday.
