The Indian Hockey Association has handed over sports equipment to the Nepal Hockey Association on Thursday. Suvarna Shrestha, executive committee member of the National Sports Council (Rakhep) and general secretary of the Nepal Hockey Association, said that 500-500 hockey sticks and balls and training materials were received as support.

The Indian team including Vice President of Asian Hockey Federation and General Secretary of Hockey Federation of India Bholanath Singh, Treasurer of Hockey Federation of India Sekar Manoharan and Managing Director of Hockey Federation of India Ravikant Srivastava handed over the materials. On Thursday, the

team also met separately with Communications Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung, Rakhep Vice President Dhruv Acharya and Rakhep Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising. On the occasion of the meeting, the situation of hockey in Nepal, India's support for the development of hockey in Nepal, and training were discussed.

The Indian officials promised to support Nepali hockey as much as possible in addition to the training of Nepali players.
