Lumbini state level U-16 cricket tournament will be held from Friday in Bhairahawa. The tournament is going to be organized by Lumbini Pradesh Cricket Association and coordinated by Rupandehi Cricket Association.
The information was given in a press conference held at Bhairahawa on Friday that the competition was organized to select the Lumbini state level team for the national U-16 cricket tournament. The match will be played at Siddharth Cricket Ground in Bhairawa and Extratech Oval Cricket Ground in Tilottama.
Pratham Parajuli, a member of the state cricket association and game coordinator, said that the tournament will be conducted from June 9 to 16. Kisan Bik, a young businessman from Bhairahawa, is the main sponsor of the competition in the name of his late wife Leela Century. The name of the tournament is 'Leela Century Memorial Lumbini State Level U-16 Cricket Tournament'.
Seven teams namely Rupandehi, Paschim Nawalparasi, Palpa, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke and Bardia will participate in the tournament organized according to the program of Nepal Cricket Association. The tournament will include the best players and select the Lumbini state level team for the U-16 cricket national tournament.
