De Bruyne's legacy in the Premier League

Manchester City has dominated English football for the past decade. Kevin De Bruyne admits he is proud to have contributed to City's journey. It was Bruena who played his last home game for City at the Etihad on Tuesday. In that, City won 3-1 over Bournemouth.

He was also honored both before and after the match. The win itself has strengthened City's chances of playing in the European Champions League next season. This Belgian player won the Premier League 6 times for City. And the FA Cup twice and the Champions League title in 2023.  For the

city, this period itself was also unique. Bruena played over 400 games for City, scoring 180 goals. Similarly, he also played a supporting role in 177 goals. Even if we consider this data as the basis, he remains one of the best players in the history of the Premier League.

'The trip itself was really unique, we all had a lot of fun,' 33-year-old Bruena told Sky Sports. 'I want you to be as happy as a football fan. For this we have to play aggressive football, the players themselves have to be creative. This is what I sought to do while on the field. I am equally happy while doing this. The last 10 years have been blissful in many ways. Meanwhile, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.'

He added, 'I feel happy even when I work hard. I will be more than a little proud if the performance of the club is higher than I did. One is that he could not score a goal on some special occasions during the game. Moreover, City did not win any titles this season. So his farewell was not as he expected.

This parting was emotional in itself, even coach Pep Guardiola couldn't stop himself. Tears appeared on her face. He called the whole occasion a bad day. Later he said, 'Today's match showed how many people are connected to him as much as they like City. Everyone loves Bruena and her family. To win the title is good in itself, but to have spent 10 years at one club, to receive such respect is great.'

Guardiola also said that he will never forget Bruena. He said, "When Bruena came to City, I knew he was not a supporter of this club." I don't even know which club he supports. But one thing is certain, when he leaves the club, he will remain a supporter of it and this support will last for life. Why would this happen as City supporters have shown love and support for him.'
