As the supporters of Sri Bhagwati Club celebrated the promotion with joy at the ANFA complex in Satdobato on Tuesday, everyone had the same opinion that the club should have been in the 'A' division. What that means is that now the northern part of Kathmandu will also be represented in the upper division of domestic football. Whenever this team plays in the 'A' division, their supporters will be present with a bang.

The final match of the 12th round of the Shahid Smarak League 'B' Division was decisive for the second team's decision to be promoted. Sri Bhagwati defeated Boys Union 2-1. The team was successful in winning promotion. If Boys Union had won this match, the decision of the promoted team would have to wait until the last round of the match. However, nothing like that happened. Shree Bhagwati Club is set to remain in the second position, maintaining its unbeaten run.

Planning Boys had already decided to become champions and move up to the 'A' division. "This success has been possible due to hard work," said Mahesh Shrestha, the coach of the club, "We are all extremely happy." Why this happiness is special is the way supporters are coming to support us, it has given us more encouragement. I think he is the 12th player for our supporters team. Now we will all celebrate together.'

After this win, Sri Bhagwati Club has 26 points. No one will be able to overtake the team even if it comes like the result of the last 13th stage. Boys Union stood third with 19 points. Planning Boys is on top with 30 points. This is another team that is still undefeated. Shishir Lekhi scored the first goal in the sixth minute and Ajit Lama added the second goal in the 38th minute.

Sanjeev Lama scored a great goal from a free kick in the 79th minute. This goal proved to be nothing more than a consolation. In the end, Mr. Bhagwati was fully entitled to the promotion. Bhagwati has 7 wins and 5 draws in 12 matches. "We are all happy for the promotion and it is all possible because of the good work of the club management," said club captain Urken Sherpa. Shishir, the main player of the club's journey, agreed with his claim. His reaction after the victory was, "There were some ups and downs in the promotion journey."

He added, 'In some games, our performance was not as expected. But we have managed to achieve promotion by setting an undefeated journey. We did well in the decisive match.'' In another match on Tuesday, Annapurna RCT drew 1-1 with Birganj United. With this result, six-time former 'A' division winners RCT managed to save their current status. After RCT took the lead in the 48th minute through Prajwal Gurung, Sagar Tharu equalized for Birgunj.

Whatever the meaning of this result, Tusal Yuva Club has become the second team to be relegated. Earlier, Nayabasti was at the bottom and became the first team to be relegated. After this win, RCT has 15 points. The team managed to climb to the 11th place. Tusal has only 11 points. Nayabasti proved to be the worst team in the competition and was limited to 5 points. The 13th round matches will start from Wednesday itself. The results of this will determine the final ranking of the teams.
