Aryasraj Paudel, a budding tennis player from Pokhreli, will represent Nepal in the ATF U-12 team tennis tournament to be held in Sri Lanka. The tournament is being held in Colombo from May 12 to 16 under the auspices of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association.
Along with Nepal, players from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will participate in the tournament.
Kaski District Tennis Association organized a program in Pokhara on Wednesday to bid him farewell. Speaking at the event, Rajkumar Gurung, president of the association, said that Aryas have been consistently excelling in their age group in various national level competitions. "We believe that he will increase the prestige of Nepal in Sri Lanka as well," he said. Navin Chalise, the first vice president of the
association, mentioned that Aryas is a talented player from Pokhara and expressed his belief that he will raise the nation's pride in the upcoming international competition. He said, 'Aryas is a matter of pride for Pokhareli. Our best wishes to him.
