3 athletes from Nepal are going to participate in the UWW Asian Belt Ellis Wrestling Championship.

Suresh Chunara, Sujit Yadav and Ramkishore Yadav will participate in the tournament to be held in New Delhi, India from May 21 to 26. Along with them, a 5-member Nepalese team will go there on Wednesday.

All the three players are undergoing special training for national team preparation under Mission-2026 conducted by the National Sports Council (Rakhep).

coach is Mumtaz Ali Idrisi. Prakash Kumar Kusari, a member of Rakhep and president of Nepal Wrestling Association, will also go to India with the team to participate in the meeting of the South Asian Wrestling Federation during the tournament. Rakhep member-secretary Tanklal Ghising bid farewell to the team on Tuesday.
