In the Himalayan Java Basketball League (HJBL), the top Hounds Academy and Times Basketball Club won on Tuesday.
In the Kirtipur Covered Hall, the Hounds defeated the home team Kirtipur Club by a score of 80-69 in the performance of Vijay Burja . The lead taken from the beginning became decisive in the victory of the Hounds. The Hounds led 25-23 in the first quarter, 21-9 in the second quarter and 20-11 in the third quarter. The Hounds built a 68-43 lead before the fourth quarter. In the last quarter Kirtipur won 25-14 in their favor but could not stop the Hounds .
Vijay alone scored the highest score of 34 . He was named the Most Valuable Player. Nischal Maharjan of Kirtipur scored 23 .
