Surya Nepal Challenge from Tuesday

Surya Nepal Challenge, the seventh tournament under Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2024-25, will start on Tuesday at Royal Nepal Golf Club. 36 professional and 11 amateur players will compete in the four-day tournament with 72 holes.

 

The cut will be applied at the end of 36 holes . The top 21 pro and amateur players will compete for the remaining 36 holes. To make the

competition more exciting, the course has been made difficult accordingly, according to the organizer Nepal Professional Golfers Association (NPGA). Nepal's number one Bhuvan Nagarkoti, season best Neeraj Tamang, former winner Ravi Khadka, Dinesh Prajapati and Shukra Bahadur Rai, who is playing on the Indian golf tour, will be competing.

This year the number one golfer of amateurs, Sadbhav Acharya, has not participated due to personal reasons. Another amateur Rahul Vishwakarma will compete. The total prize money of the competition is 6 lakh rupees. The winner will win 100,000, the second runner-up will win 70,000 and the third runner-up will win 50,000 while the top 21 pro golfers will win cash  will receive .

The tournament under the main sponsorship of Surya Nepal will be held on Saturday after the main event, according to the organizer NPGA. President Rabindraman Shrestha has said that this time, due to the course, the players are expected to perform well and score well.
