The samba column has been named Sambachok in honor of Savitra Bhandari (Samba), a player of the Nepali women's national football team.

A column has been built in the name of Bhandari, who is also an armed police assistant constable, a player of Nepal APF Club, at Khudibazar Chowk located in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-9 of Lamjung District. Arjun Gurung, chairman of the rural municipality of Samba column, inaugurated it. 

Recently, Savitra has become a famous football player not only in the country but also abroad. Currently, she is affiliated with the French top division league football club Ana Van Genggang.

Lamjung District Chief District Officer Madhav Prasad Pokharel, Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-9 Ward Chairman Haris Chandra Thapa, dependent Gulma Lamjung's Gulmapati and other local leaders, public representatives and media workers were also present at the opening event.

Savitra's parents were also honored, DSP and Assistant Spokesperson of the Armed Police Shailendra Thapa informed.
