Swadesh Gurung has won the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Amateur Series. Gurung scored an impressive 42 Stableford points at Gokarna Forest Resort Golf Club on Saturday. After winning this title, he will represent Nepal for the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup to be held in Antalya, Turkey in November.

Ang Dendy Sherpa and Pradeep KC were just one point behind the home team. Both scored the same 41. Ang Dendy became the runner-up after scoring 20 on the back night. Pradeep scored 19 on the back nine. He was third. 

Wangchen Dhondup won the title of Best Gross. He collected a total of 41 gross points. Manohardas Mull and Vipana Shrestha won the men's and women's closest to the pin respectively. In the tournament sponsored by Turkish Airlines, 84 golfers played on the basis of 3/4 handicap. 

Turkish Airlines Kathmandu General Manager Serkan Basar, Sales Manager Benazir Khan, Station Manager Reshu Singh, Civil Aviation Authority Deputy Director General Naveen Adhikari, Gokarna Golf Club President Suhrid Ghimire and Captain Joseph Nathan awarded the winning players.
