Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary has claimed that the member secretary of the National Sports Council will be from the Congress quota.
Talking to mediapersons in Itahari on Saturday, Minister Choudhary said that the 20th Member Secretary of the Rakhap to be appointed in the next few months will be from the Congress. The tenure of Rakhep's current member secretary Tanklal Ghising is ending in the second week of November.
Minister Choudhary said that the process of handing over 10 stadiums under the federal government to the state and local levels has reached its final stage. He said that Itahari stadium will be developed as a training center for Koshi province. According to the government's plan to develop large stadiums as state-level training centers among stadiums across the country, Minister Chaudhary clarified that Itahari Stadium will become a training center.
He said that preparations for handing over the Itahari Stadium, currently under the federal government, to the state government are in the final stage. Minister Choudhary informed that the budget has been allocated for that stadium in the coming annual budget. According to Chaudhary, an amount of 11/12 crores has been allocated to repair such stadiums.
