Lumbini Pradesh Cricket Association president Gurung resigned

The special general meeting of the Lumbini State Cricket Association has passed a motion of no confidence against the state president Sanjay Gurung. After the no confidence motion against Gurung was passed, he was relieved of his post.

On the 22nd of Chaitra 2081, the vice president of the association, Vinayraj Bhandari, was the proposer and 31 representatives signed the motion of no confidence against Gurung and sent it to the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN). All the 38 representatives present at the special general assembly held on Saturday at the headquarters Taulihwa passed a motion of no confidence against Gurung. Central member of Nepal Cricket Association Pradeep Mazgaia said that after the no-confidence motion was passed, Vice President Vinayraj Bhandari became the acting president.

Acting President Bhandari said that according to the association's regulations, the letter from CAN and the letter from the National Sports Council, a special general meeting was held and another special general meeting will be convened in Palpa on June 31 to elect a new leader. Representatives from Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardia, Palpa and Paschim Nawalparasi 7 districts participated in the special general meeting.

Chairman Sanjay Gurung was not present in the special general meeting among the 41 representatives of Lumbini province, where a motion of no confidence was brought. One died and one is abroad.
