Table tennis title to Sujan and intelligence to Badrilal

Sujan Gadal from Lalitpur won the open table tennis tournament title. Gadal won the title by defeating the wise Tamang of Rupandehi in the match held on Wednesday at Matikore Covered Hall in Diktel.

Gadal of AVM Table Tennis Club Lalitpur received 25,000 cash, trophy, medal and certificate. The runner-up Tamang received 12,500 cash, trophy, medal and certificate. Siddharth Tamang of Sunsari and Prajil Bhattarai of AVM, who came third, received cash, trophies, medals and certificates at the rate of 6,250 rupees.

AVM's Saira Shakya has become the first in the open junior women's table tennis tournament. She got ten thousand cash, trophy, medal and certificate. Arsana Maharjan of AVM, who came second, received 5000 cash, trophy, medal and certificate. Tonisma Pokharel of Khotang and Gyanu Rai of Khotang, who came third, got cash, trophy, medal and certificate worth two thousand five hundred rupees.

In open junior men's table tennis tournament, AVM's Jayasnu Maharjan won 15,000 cash, trophy, medal and certificate, AVM's Prajil Bhattarai, who came second, got 7,500 cash, trophy, medal and certificate. Wise Gurung of Rupandehi and Samir Khatri of Rupandehi have been declared third. 

They received cash, trophies, medals and certificates at the rate of 3,750 rupees, according to Sanjay Kumar Rai, president of the organizing Nepal Sports Foundation. Similarly, Buddhilal Nepali of Lalitpur became the first, Himal Rai of Sunsari second, Dhiren Rai of Khotang third, Rupesh Jaishwal of Rautahat fourth and Muhan Nursing Shrestha of Sunsari came fifth in the intelligence competition held on Wednesday. 

The first place winner got 25,000, the second place 15,000, the third place 10,000, the fourth place 8,000 and the fifth place 7,000 cash along with trophies, medals and certificates.

Similarly, Suman Shrestha of Jhapa was sixth, Pradeep Rai of Bhojpur was seventh, Naviv Tandukar of Kathmandu was eighth, Rajan Subedi of Jhapa was ninth and Umesh Rai of Morang was tenth. Sixth to tenth graders have received trophies, medals and certificates along with cash at the rate of 4,000.

In that game, there was also a competition between Khotang players. Under this Khotang, Dayan Rai is the first, Krishna Gurung is the second, and Khilraj Rai is the third. They got five thousand, four thousand, three thousand in cash, trophy, medal and certificate respectively. Padamkumar Rai has been announced as the West player of Diktel Rupakot municipality in the

game. He received two thousand five hundred rupees in cash and a certificate. Similarly, Chudamani Kulung Rai of Sunsari in West Veterans got 3,000 cash, trophy and certificate, Bede Saru Magar of Dang unrated West got 3,000 cash, trophy and certificate and Suyav Saiju of Khotang who won first place in under 16 got 2,500 including trophy, medal and certificate. 

The competition was held during the Second Big Khotang Halesi Sports, Literary and Tourism Festival. According to the organizers, a literary festival will be held on June 4.
