The preparations for the Provincial Sports Award, which is to be organized for the first time under the auspices of the Bagmati Provincial Government, have been completed. Minister of Youth and Sports of Bagmati Province Meenkrishna Maharjan informed that the program is going to be organized to honor former and present sportsmen, coaches and journalists of the province. He said that the province has started to encourage and respect the players. He says that efforts have been started to stop the migration of players abroad. ministry, 12 people will be selected in 8 categories including the best sportsperson of the year, male/female, youth, coach, live time achievement, glory of Bagmati sports, popular sportsperson, and best journalist. He said that the best female/male, live time achievement award, honor of Bagmati sports, 1 lakh rupees will be given to the coach and 50 thousand rupees to other categories. For the

program, a 3-member technical sub-committee was formed under the coordination of Deepak Shrestha. The committee will recommend the name of the sports personality for the award.
