The preparations for the Provincial Sports Award, which is to be organized for the first time under the auspices of the Bagmati Provincial Government, have been completed. Information was given through a press conference in Hetaunda on Thursday about the awards to be held at Huprachaur located in Hetaunda-4 on Sunday organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Minister of Youth and Sports of Bagmati Province Meenkrishna Maharjan informed that the program is going to be organized to honor former and present sportsmen, coaches and journalists of the province. He said that the province has started to encourage and respect the players. He says that efforts have been started to stop the migration of players abroad. ministry, 12 people will be selected in 8 categories including the best sportsperson of the year, male/female, youth, coach, live time achievement, glory of Bagmati sports, popular sportsperson, and best journalist. He said that the best female/male, live time achievement award, honor of Bagmati sports, 1 lakh rupees will be given to the coach and 50 thousand rupees to other categories. For the

program, a 3-member technical sub-committee was formed under the coordination of Deepak Shrestha. The committee will recommend the name of the sports personality for the award. According to the organizer, the personality selection of the award will be taken into consideration, the contribution made in the past as a player or coach, the current success, its impact on the society, and the purpose of inspiring the new generation. The

program will be organized under the chief hospitality of Bahadur Singh Lama, the Chief Minister of the state government. The Ministry said that the Youth Summit will be organized after a few weeks.
