Bara and India's Lucknow team reached the finals of the 3rd Janakpurdham Mayor's Cup Twenty20 cricket tournament in Janakpurdham.
The Lucknow team entered the final after defeating Bara and Mahottari after defeating Muzaffarpur in the semi-final held at Ramzan International Multi-Purpose Stadium on Thursday.
Now these two teams will compete for the title on Friday. In this competition, Bara team has defeated Parsa, Delhi and Muzaffarpur to reach the finals, while Lucknow team has reached the finals by defeating Rautahat, Sirha and Mahottari.
In the match on Thursday, there was an exciting competition between Lucknow and Mahottari. After winning the toss, Lucknow team Mahottari was invited to bat. Mahottari team lost 8 wickets in scheduled 20 overs and presented a target of 130 runs to Lucknow. Batter opener Ravikumar Singh scored a half-century for Mahottari. He contributed 56 runs off 49 balls with the help of two sixes and four fours. For this team, Avinas Adhikari scored 23 runs in 22 balls, Sujit Shah scored 10 runs and Navin Kumar Yadav scored 11 runs.
For Lucknow, Manish Singh spent 26 runs for three wickets, Shiv Singh spent 22 runs for two wickets, Ashmit Mishra and Shailendra Singh took one wicket each.
After getting the target of 130 runs, Lucknow batted back and completed the target by losing 9 wickets in 5 balls in 19 overs. For Lucknow, Sudhir Singh scored 26 runs off 23 balls, Prithul Mehta scored 23 runs off 28 balls, Samit Pathak scored 13 runs, Ankit Singh and Subham Yadav scored 12 runs each. Bowling for Mahottari, Nitesh Kumar Yadav took two wickets, Akash Mandal took two wickets, Abhishek Tiwari, Dhawan Kumar Sahni and Ramesh Sahni each took one wicket each. Manish Singh of Lucknow was declared the man of the match.
Similarly, in the second match on Thursday, after winning the toss, Muzaffarpur invited Bara to bat. Bara presented a target of 213 runs to Muzaffarpur after losing 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. National team player Adil Ansari, who is playing the first tournament after lifting the suspension for Bara, scored 80 runs in 43 balls with the help of seven fours and five sixes. For this team, Ravi Shah scored 50 runs in 34 balls, Vivek Yadav scored 36 runs in 13 balls and captain Pawan Saraf scored 18 runs in 12 balls.
For Muzaffarpur, Mohit Kumaler took two wickets for 39 runs in four overs. Similarly, Aditya Kumar, Harsh Kumar and Sachin Kumar Singh took one wicket each. Having got a huge target of 213 runs, Muzaffarpur batted in response and could score only 188 runs after losing all wickets in 19 overs. For Muzaffarpur, batsman Imran Nazir scored 40 runs off 24 balls, Mohammad Taufiq scored 34 runs off 22 balls, Alok Kumar scored 27 runs off 22 balls, Ravi Sharma scored 20 runs and Mohit Kumar scored 20 runs. Vivek Yadav bowled brilliantly for the
bar. He took five wickets for 29 runs in three overs and four balls. Bhulawan Sahni, Sahav Alam, Kamal Gupta, Pawan Saraf and Nikhil Singh took one wicket each. Baraka's Vivek Yadav was declared the man of the match.
