Sindureghari Multipurpose Campus has won the Jai Nepal Cup Rautahat District Inter-College T-20 Cricket League Tournament. Sindureghari defeated Madhya Rautahat Versatile Campus Garuda by 68 runs in the final at Kotihome Cricket Ground located in Chandrapur-8 on Thursday.
Sindureghari, who won the toss and chose to bat first, scored 131 runs after losing 2 wickets in 20 overs. Rajesh Yadav scored 49 runs off 39 balls and remained unbeaten. Raj Patel contributed 30 runs off 25 balls. Dinesh Ahmed scored 14 runs and Rahul Yadav scored 12 runs. Other players could not score runs in double figures. Garuda's Umesh Patel and Dharmendra Sah took 1 wicket each.
In response, Garuda was bowled out for 63 runs in 10.2 overs. Garuda's Rabi Jaiswal scored 12 runs, Vicky Suraj scored 10 runs, Arvind Kumar scored 11 runs and Umesh Patel scored 10 runs. Mohan Ghimire of Sindureghari took 5 wickets with 15 runs. Rajesh Yadav spent 14 runs and got 2 wickets and Arvind Baitha got 1 wicket.
winner Sindureghari received 1 lakh cash, trophy, medal and runner-up Garuda received 50,000 cash, trophy and medal. Garuda's Nitesh Yadav became the player of the series. He got 15,000 prize. Garuda's Shailendra Kushwaha and best bowler Sindureghari's Mohan Ghimire were declared as the best batter and received 10,000 cash. Player of the final was Rajesh Yadav from Sindureghari. 8 campuses of the district participated in the competition.
