Tarakeshwar Municipality and Kirtipur Municipality have played a draw in the valley-wide inter-municipal open Godavari Mayor's Cup football tournament.

On Friday, Tarakeshwar and Kirtipur played a 2-2 draw at the Jhyaluntar ground of the Godavari multi-purpose stadium. Ravin Chaulagai scored both goals from Tarakeshwar. Kirtipur's Sanjog Maharjan and Sugam Bhandari scored 1-1. In Group D, Tarakeshwar has scored 2 points in 2 matches and Kirtipur has scored 1 point in one match. Kirtipur took the lead through Sanjog's goal in the 18th minute of the

game. In the 40th minute, Ravin returned the equalizer from Tarakeshwar. Tarakeshwar went ahead 2-1 when Ravin scored his second personal goal in the injury time of the first half. After the second half, Sugam tied the game at 2-2. Susan Basnet was injured in the match. He was put in an ambulance from the field and taken to the hospital.

Sunday's match between Kirtipur and Konjyosom will decide the team that will reach the semi-finals from this group.
