Nepal Volleyball Association is going to organize PM Cup NVA Women's and Men's Volleyball League in Pokhara.
The association held a press conference in the capital on Friday and informed that the competition will be held from June 8 to 15 in the multi-purpose covered hall at Pokhara Stadium. Jitendra Bahadur Chand, president of the association, said that this year the competition is going to be held in Pokhara as the maintenance work of Rakhep Covered Hall in Kathmandu, where the competition is held regularly, is underway. The
association has continued the team that participated in the last edition of the league this time. 6 teams for women and 8 teams for men will compete in the league. On the men's side, Help Nepal Sports Club, Nepal APF Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Koshi Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh, Sudurpaschim Pradesh and Manimukund Volleyball Club will compete.
Women's APF Club, Tribhuvan Army, Police Club, New Diamond Youth Sports Club, Everest Volleyball Club and Karnali Pradesh will play. On both sides, the winner will get Rs.8 lakh, the runner-up will get Rs.4 lakh and the third place team will get Rs.2 lakh.
The best player will get 50,000 rupees while the best player will get 25,000 rupees. The winning team will represent Nepal and compete in the Kava Champions League. In the
competition, there is a provision that every team can play three foreign players. The live broadcast of the competition will be done by our sports. On behalf of the association, President Chand and Subas Humagain of our sports made the agreement. The
league has a prize of 32 lakhs and the estimated budget of the competition is 90 lakhs. The competition will have special support from the National Sports Council. Chairman Chand said that the association expects to get 30-35 lakhs from tickets and financial support from sponsors.
