Seven athletes from Nepal are going to compete in the Asian U-22 and Youth Boxing Tournament. The best players in the nationwide selection competition organized by the Nepal Boxing Association will participate in the competition to be held from May 29 to May 10 in Komalbo, Sri Lanka.
General Secretary of Nepal Boxing Federation Man Bahadur Bhandari said that the Nepali team will go to Colombo on May 27 to participate in the tournament where 270 athletes from 28 countries will compete. For
athletes, there is Roshni Ghalan in 52 kg weight group, Narika Rai in 60 kg, Trisha Jabegu in 81 kg. For men, Lal Prasad Upreti in 48 kg, Arpil Rana in 51 kg, Singhveer Limbu in 57 kg and Chiring Wangdi Sherpa in 60 kg. Sujith Kumar Punamar is the coach, Santosh Alemgar is the referee/judge and Man Bahadur Bhandari is the manager. National Sports Council Member Secretary Tanklal Ghising bid farewell to the players.
