Purushottam defeated CM Purushottam Chaulagai and Ashish defeated Prakashchandra Nepal. In the competition, FM Kshitij Bhandari, FM Rupesh Jaiswal and Suroj Maharjan scored the same 4.5 points and jointly secured the second position.
The match between Nepal champion Rupesh Jaiswal and Kshitij Bhandari ended in a draw, while Suroj won over Kamal Shrestha. Indian player Ashutosh Yadav is in third place with 4 points. National B Champion Binita Kapali and Nepal Women's Champion Sindira Joshi are ahead. 124 players from Nepal and India are competing in the
competition. The winner will receive a trophy along with 40,000 rupees. The winner will also get a term life insurance facility worth Rs 10 lakh for one year. The second runner-up will get 25,000 and 7 lakh insurance and the third will get a one-year insurance worth 15,000 and 5 lakh.
