The 20th general meeting of Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) held on Thursday has elected a new working committee.

An 11-member working committee was elected under the chairmanship of Niranjan Adhikari from the general meeting held in the capital. Elections were held for the posts of president, general secretary, secretary and members. Adhikari, who is the first vice president, defeated the candidate Prakash Timalsina. Anjan Khadka was elected as General Secretary and Anil Malla Thakuri as Secretary. Khadka defeated Raju Ghising and Thakuri defeated Govindraj Nepal.

Prajwal Oli has been elected as the first vice president, Sanjiv Silpkar and Govind Regmi have been elected unopposed as the second vice president. Muna Karki was elected as Treasurer and Namita Dahal was elected unopposed as a female member.

5 members were candidates for three member positions. Ramesh Subedi, Kaviras Sharma and Abhinav Joshi won. Bhupesh Upadhyay and Vinayjyoti Sapkota were defeated. The remaining members will be selected by the working committee.

Before the election, the 20th General Assembly unanimously passed the organizational report of General Secretary Prajwal Oli and the financial report of Acting Treasurer Muna Karki.

In the opening session of the general assembly, member secretary of National Sports Council Tanklal Ghising, vice president of HAN Yuvraj Shrestha, general secretary of Nepal Journalist Federation Ram Prasad Dahal, associate secretary of federation Vaikuntharaj Parajuli and others expressed their congratulatory remarks and expressed the opinion that the role of the platform in Nepali sports journalism is special and it should be expanded further. Outgoing President Durganath Subedi expressed his gratitude to everyone for giving him the opportunity to lead the platform for two terms.
