Cricketer Kavita is the brand ambassador of SPA

Sudorpaschimchal Academy (SPA) College has appointed Kavita Kunwar, the all-rounder of the women's national cricket team, as its brand ambassador. A formal agreement was signed between the college and Kavita.

The managing director of the college, Subas Shahi, while handing over the contract, said that this step was taken to encourage local players. He mentioned that the associations and organizations of the Far West should contribute in the same way to the development of the sports sector. Kavita, who has become a

brand ambassador, said that she is proud to represent the prestigious institution she studied in. She made her debut in the women's national team in 2019 in the T20 international match against China.

She has played 52 T20 international matches. In 2022, she performed well in the T20 series with Uganda and took 7 wickets in 5 matches. She has so far taken 253 runs and 43 wickets in T20Is.

Kavita, who plays domestic cricket from the Nepal Police Club, was born in Sanfebagar, Achham. She studied at her maternal grandmother's house in Dhangadhi, Kailali. At the age of 10, she started training after growing interest in cricket.

Kavita, who made it to the national team through the regional team, has won gold medals in four national competitions so far. She is an all-rounder of the national team.

College has also made national cricket player Narayan Joshi as its brand ambassador last October. He is also a product of Dhangadhi Cricket Academy (DCA) and an alumnus of SPA College.

The college has done this in order to make their playing life easier in respect of the players and the college has said that the agreement will be in force until they play the tournament representing the Far West team.
