An 11-member Nepali team including 6 athletes went to Thimphu, Bhutan on Tuesday to participate in the first South Asian Youth Judo Development Tournament and Camp.
Four male and two female athletes from the Multipurpose Martial Arts Center (MMAC) will compete in the tournament, which will be held from May 7 to 12.
men Visaj Maharjan and Sadin Tamang under 40 kg, Juvin Maharjan under 50 kg and Simon Tamang under 36 kg will play. Women's under 57 kg Srastha Napit and under 36 kg Jenisa Waiba will compete.

The team was bid farewell by National Sports Council Vice President Dhruv Acharya, Nepal Judo Association President Deepakharsh Vajracharya and others. Dharmakumar Shrestha, head coach of MMAC, said that 8 teams from India, Bhutan and Bangladesh will participate in the
competition.
