Sandip Tamang of Bidya Varadan Boarding School won the first place in the intellectual competition held at Phidim in Panchthar. He played the seventh run and secured the first place by winning 6 matches.
British Karki and Henchen Angbo from the same school came second and third respectively. Navraj Nepal of Phidim Mavi got 5 points and Opsan Rana Magar of New Model Mavi came fifth.
Semina Rai of Bidya Varadaan became the first in the female category and Sarmila Rai of Ranitar Mavi became the first in the under 13 age group. The first place in the competition received a cash prize of five thousand, the second place four thousand, the third place three thousand, the fourth place two thousand and the fifth place received a certificate along with one thousand cash.
The president of the organizer Budvichal Sangh, Vijayabod Lavati, informed that the competition was completed in Fidim Bazar organized by District Intellectual Association Panchthar.
