KFA Information Smriti Diktel Mayor Cup football tournament will be held in the second week of May. The tournament is going to be held at Diktel Stadium from 7th to 10th of June organized by Khotang Football Academy.
According to the organizer, eight teams including seven from the district and one guest will participate in the Eleven A side football match under the main sponsorship of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality.
The game coordinator Rosish Shrestha said that the winner will get 2 lakh and the runner-up will get 1 lakh cash. According to him, the best player will get 7,000, the best goalkeeper, the best coach and the top scorer will get 4,000. According to the organizer, 2000 will be given to emerging players and 1000 to player of the match.
According to the organizers, out of 11 players, three players from the district and outside the country can be included. Khotang Football Academy, Halesi Tuwachung Football Club, Solma Sports Club, Baxila Football Club, Nunthala Sports Club, Nerpa Sports Club, Matikore Social Service Club and Nepal Army Ranbhim Gana will participate in the sixth edition. KFA has been conducting football tournament every year. KFA won the title in the first edition, Yuva Jagran in the second, Young Boys United in the third, Nerpa Sports Club in the fourth and KFA in the fifth edition.
